The skepticism surrounding “branded residences” is often well-founded. Too frequently, the partnership amounts to little more than a logo mounted on a façade and a few soft furnishings in the lobby. However, the newly unveiled interiors of ETRO Residences Phuket suggest a far more rigorous proposition: a home that is not merely branded, but “woven.”
Situated within the ambitious Gardens of Eden enclave on Bang Tao Beach, this project—comprising just eight exclusive units—marks the Italian house’s residential debut in Southeast Asia. Developed by Amal Development, the project eschews the typical “resort-style” tropes in favor of a specific, sartorial translation of the brand’s DNA. The challenge, undertaken by global specialists The One Atelier, was distinct: how to transmute ETRO’s famous fluidity—its paisleys, its eclectic maximalism—into the permanence of stone and timber without calcifying its spirit.
